Plethora

Project overview

Plethora was designed to digitize traditional thrift collection, a system widely used for informal savings and group contributions. The app provides collectors with tools to manage customer records, set up contribution groups, track transactions, and disburse funds securely to contributors. By introducing digital wallets, subscription plans, and automated processes, Plethora bridges the gap between manual thrift collection and modern financial management.

Client challenges & requirements

Before Plethora, collectors and contributors faced several operational and trustrelated challenges. Understanding these pain points was essential to building a solution that truly met their needs. These painpoint includes;

  • Manual record keeping: Collectors relied heavily on paper notes or spreadsheets, which often led to errors and mistrust.
  • Transparency issues: Contributors lacked visibility into their contributions and payment history.
  • Time consuming processes: Reminders, collections, and disbursements were largely manual.
  • Scalability: Collectors with many customers struggled to keep operations efficient and organized.

Plethora needed a secure platform with subscription flexibility, transaction tracking, and a contributor facing solution to improve trust, which then brings us to the solution;

Project solution

To address these challenges, Plethora was designed with a combination of mobile, web, and administrative tools, which includes:

  • Mobile App for Collectors: Provided wallet creation, group setup, customer onboarding, and transaction management.
  • Subscription Tiers: Introduced Basic, Pro, and Premium plans with differentiated features for various user needs
  • Contributor Web Portal (Premium): Gave contributors a secure login to track contributions and verify payouts.
  • Admin Portal: Equipped the app owner with tools to manage user accounts, subscriptions, compliance, and financial monitoring
  • Automation: Reduced manual work through automated reminders, payment tracking, and wallet reconciliation.
